Ecologically state-to-art hard chrome plating system

We give our client’s disposal state to art hard (industrial) chrome plating technology which uses the Precision Plating System®.

One of PPS® characteristics, is the high quality of plating (galvanizing) achieved (Cpk>1,67, PPM: 0-1) affecting minimizing the scrap level during the production process. It is essentially important when there are logistical problems with buying of raw materials. Also, the main parts, that are assembled using hard chrome plated components are of the highest quality possible.

Thanks to Greystone’s Precision Plating System®. parts are electroplated in an eco-friendly way (external emissions are close to zero – closed system). There is no need of replacing the hard chrome (anodize) coatings, which provide unparalleled performance to other coatings for highly engineered applications.

    Selective plating of Electric Vehicles(EV) motors parts.

    Electric motors could reach speeds above 20,000 rpm that is why EV engines should be produced using the best technology available. This applies to all materials and parts used inside the electric motor. Especially rotor and stator have to be extremely strong to keep them from flying apart.

    Greystone selective plating technology could allow to use less rare earths. From the design level: thanks to the Precision Plating System® we could plate the parts directly where it is obligated. For instance, the magnet surface could have a coat only on the areas where it is needed. Greystone’s innovative engineering allowed galvanizing the parts using an integrated automation system with high-quality requirements: PPM: 0 – 1, Cpk > 1,67.

      What is the best electropating anti-corrosion protection available?

      According to Greystone customers – Infinity™ coating, which was developed by us and is our proprietary plating technology. The Infinity™ layer is successfully used by our customers on products that are used in the most adverse conditions. One such environment is a salty aquatic environment. Ship fasteners that are coated with Infinity™ will shine most of the time.

      The Infinity™ protective coating ensures that the parts covered with it withstand the salt spray test for up to 4,000 hours before the first signs of rust appear. It is more resistant to rust compared to products made of stainless steel, without any protective coatings.

      Infinity™ is a coating used on products with severe/extreme usage conditions. It can also be successfully used on other components such as: BiPolar plates, pump elements, fuel pump components, etc..

            Very precise hard chrome lining of gun barrels

              Is a plating process possible with Cpk> 1.67?

              The described “actual process capability factor” – Cpk informs about the accuracy of manufacturing of a given part. This is a very important parameter, especially in mass or large-scale production which takes place at the Greystone Poland plant in Stalowa Wola. The higher the Cpk value, the lower the risk of producing a defective product. The worldwide standard of customer requirements for manufacturing companies is that the production process has a Cpk value> 1.33. With such a factor, the defectiveness of the manufactured parts is about 0.0063%.

              Thanks to highly qualified employees and a modern production line, the plating process carried out in Greystone Poland in Stalowa Wola is very accurate and its: Cpk> 1.67. It is an added value that all our clients receive. Thanks to this, we minimize the resulting waste and costs, as well as obtain a final product of very high quality.

              Typical PPM (Parts Per Million) in our factory is 0 – 1. Is it a lot or a little? Faulty parts (out of a 1 million produced) are marked in red in the attached photo.
