Tree planting certificate

Due to the fact, that Greystone Poland passed another certification audit conducted by TUV Nord Polska, a new tree was planted. It is a response to the challenges of the current world to take care of the nature around us. The action was organized by TUV Nord Poland. For every audit carried out, TUV Nord Poland committed to planting a new tree.

On this occasion, it should be noted that once again Greystone Poland has proven that the selective electroplating services offered are accompanied by high-quality standards. This was achieved thanks to the use of our unique Precision Plating System. PPS meets high standards set, among others: by the automotive industry. The plating system used by Greystone Poland is highly optimized thanks to a closed circuit, automation and meeting strict quality standards (PPM: 0 – 1) with high productivity (Cpk > 1.67).

    Selectively electroplating: only the inside diameter of the blind hole

    We would like to show our modern technology that could be adjusted strictly to the needs – which is the Precision Plating System. As an example, PPS technology is used for selective plating of the inside diameter of the blind hole, as demonstrated in the picture from this post. PPS system guarantees that the highest plating quality will be achieved: Cpk > 1.67 and PPM: 0-1. In addition, innovative Engineering with automatization fits ideally to manipulate discrete parts that are sensitive to damage.

      Selective plating of Electric Vehicles(EV) motors parts.

      Electric motors could reach speeds above 20,000 rpm that is why EV engines should be produced using the best technology available. This applies to all materials and parts used inside the electric motor. Especially rotor and stator have to be extremely strong to keep them from flying apart.

      Greystone selective plating technology could allow to use less rare earths. From the design level: thanks to the Precision Plating System® we could plate the parts directly where it is obligated. For instance, the magnet surface could have a coat only on the areas where it is needed. Greystone’s innovative engineering allowed galvanizing the parts using an integrated automation system with high-quality requirements: PPM: 0 – 1, Cpk > 1,67.

        What is selective electroplating?

        Electroplating is a very popular and widely used process, as it increases the lifetime, reliability and functionality of parts made of metal (e.g. stainless steel, aluminum, etc.). This is due to the fact that the electrochemical process produces permanent, metallic coatings with a thickness measured in microns. These can be layers of chromium, zinc, nickel, as well as other coatings, depending on their properties that are required in the final products.

        Until recently, in the electroplating process, an employee was responsible both for manual masking of areas that should not be covered in the electrochemical process, as well as for the transport of parts between different stages of production. Greystone has developed the Precision Plating System® (PPS®) which is fully automated and allows for selective electroplating of parts. The operator (employee) is only to supervise the process – the rest is pre-programmed.

        Thanks to this, it became possible to selectively plate parts – at select areas (on the part) on which a specific thickness of a given coating is to be applied, e.g. hard chrome. All this is illustrated in the graphics below.
